Pickled Peas

Flavor that pops!

Liven up anything from salads to cocktails to pizza with these little flavor bombs.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 dried bay leaf
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp coriander
  • 0.25 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 garlic clove, roughly chopped
  • 0.33 c of half apple cider vinegar, half white vinegar
  • ~0.25 c fresh peas
 

Protocol

Feel free to size up this recipe! I wanted to fit this in an empty glass spice container, so I only worked with a quarter cup of peas.

  1. Combine all ingredients but peas in a small glass jar.
  2. Tighten lid, shake until salt is dissolved into solution.
  3. Pour most of brine back into measuring cup.
  4. Add all peas to jar.
  5. Pour in remainder of brine. 
  6. Replace lid and put the jar in the fridge for 3 days. Enjoy!
