Willie Mae's
Not-so-hidden at the end of a residential block in New Orleans is Willie Mae's Restaurant. Just show up and get the chicken. It's crunchy, salty, not too greasy - almost delicate in the texture it manages to pull off. Anything else you get is secondary, but I'd recommend the red beans and rice or cornbread. The place has been around since the 50s and does fantastic work. The prices have gone up since I first went in 2015, but it hasn't stopped me from going back! Check out their menu below or here.
